san francisco can be quite chilly in the summer. if you didn’t know that, you might could figure it out through the pen and ink illustrations of jared drew moody.

drew grew up in north carolina, got his bfa in maryland and lives in new york. i love his washy illustration style, emotional imagery and bold color choices.

these new pieces are so seasonally evocative, and they have just enough interesting detail to make you stop and stare a bit.

those illustrations are pretty cool. his juxtaposition of color and line art style is really dramatic. i think we need some of these in our house.

i definitely agree. make the house like the louvre and buy ‘em!
