solid gold bar doorstop (okay, not really)

impress your friends and neighbors (?)Â by placing this gold bar doorstop where they’ll “casually” encounter it (!). the date on the bar refers to the very first time women were allowed to set foot in the london stock exchange. that year was 1973. yippee for us!
it’s made of aluminum, cast iron and mild steel, and is flash dipped in gold (goldgoldgoldgoldgold).Â
i’m sure trump has these propping open his walk-in humidor and keeping his numerous indoor marble columns upright all over his house.
more minimal designs and info about paris-based industrial designer arik levy here. i love his minishake pendant light, inspired by a hand muff!
the doorstop is available for a limited time only at the conran shop.Â

trumpo el dumpo.
i actually think this is sarcastic finger-wagging at the lifestyles of the rich and famous, but maybe i’m wrong?
but i do think it is VERY funny and would find it amusing if i stubbed my toe on it.
love that usb thing. 🙂

Cool! It should definitely have made it to the 10 Fun and Weird Doorstops list if I would’ve known about it.
