duane keiser oil paintings

i am usually attracted to folk art or naive or modern abstract or contemporary paintings, but i really enjoy the precise, realistic still life oil work of virginia artist duane keiser. i can’t believe how perfect (and huge) his donut painting is even as I stare at it right now!
see more incredibly detailed pieces, work in progress and much, much more on his website.

i love the size of that painting. it looks like it’s as big as an inner tube you could float down the river in… wouldn’t be perfect hanging in a restaurant?!

i’d love to see this hanging in a snooty high design type dining room…near a crystal chandelier, perhaps 😉
