look at these 8.5″ x 11″ prints from atlanta-based artist and graphic designer michelle armas. i am a fan of michelle’s blog and was happy to see these prints from her original oil paintings over at the new shiny squirrel shop. at first glance you might think these are topography maps or even an homage to mosaic tile art, but these pieces were really inspired by the microscopic discovery of germs and bacteria!

i really like the flowy abstract quality of these prints, and the broad color palette that deepens the longer you look.
