ceramic remote control

i like my programs just as much as the next guy, but i have never seen a remote control that wasn’t an insult to my delicate aesthetic sensibilities. never, until i saw this ceramic one from japan’s yuta watanabe. the thoughtful medium that he uses in this piece ensures that it will never be disregarded like its plastic kin, falling into sofa crevices or chewed on by the dog.
if this were actually compatible for all the electronic equipment we have, and it was in production, i would buy one immediately and be in charge of the remote in my house from this day forward. 😀

For some reason, I think I’d rather have a remote with some dog tooth marks in it than one that shatters into a million little pieces.

well, i’d rather have one that looks like an egg and i can keep up on a shelf with my other prized art objects.
