tenika morrison photography

multitalented washington state artist tenika morrison, aka etsy seller scarletbeautiful and scarletbeautiful2 has created a series called through the viewinder, which is a gorgeous shabby-soft collection of photography created just how it sounds: by taking the photo with a camera pointed through the viewfinder of another camera.

so pretty and quiet and just what i needed to see today.
view and purchase tenika’s collections here and there. and be sure to see her scrapbooking blog and her mixed media collage website too!

hi sosser,
i know, it is such a cool idea.
i really like the choices she makes with her subjects. everything sits so still and has such a balanced feeling to me.
thanks for the visit!

hi jonathan,
so glad you like tenika’s work too!
i like your photos (the christmas bulbs is my favorite!). are you taking a photo through the camera lens of a second camera like tenika? that is the technique she is using in these photos here.
thanks for stopping by!

thanks! actually, that was with a film canon ae-1 camera. if you click on the “Through the Viewfinder” section to the right, you can see the few that i put up there that are using the duaflex camera.
