design sponge diy contest finalists

i am sure you have read about the supremely excellent diy contest that grace at design*sponge has put together, with exciting prizes or the top winners (including gift certificates from 2modern and subscriptions and merch from readymade magazine). the deadline for entries has passed but now the voting will begin. check out some of the innovative things created by the first few finalists:

    Wow! I love Ready Made. I dunno, as cool as the doll parts coat rack is on the one hand (punny, I know) I think it would totally creep me out in real life. I think I’m going for the simple but totally fun take on the coffee table with newspapers. (because…the newspapers are usually ON the table…)

    BTW, Gigi, it’s been way too long if I start to type roa…into my browser and it doesn’t fill in the rest of your URL…remedying that this moment 🙂

    so happy to see you! you should click over on the link and see all the finalists before making your final decision on the best thing. besides the coat rack (which makes me gasp and laugh more than creep me out), there are a few other noteworthy entries.
