plate ink paper monotypes and etchings

What is up with these cool and mysterious etchings, limited edition linocuts and monotypes (one-off prints) from Portland artist Carol Berryhill for her PlateInkPaper shop? I don’t know, but in this work is the beautiful sadness. There’s a lot of tension in these pieces, forlorn people, dignified resignation and themes of distress, and I like it. Those types of qualities are what (I think) make a collection memorable.
