new work from rachel horrocks

you may remember the wonderfully tactile, inspired wall decor from uk designer rachel horrocks that i wrote about a while ago. rachel has continued to develop the concept of fun felty artwork with this new series called decoflora. still crafted from 100% wool felt like her basic baroque pieces, the decoflora series presents a more feminine style and attaches with a simple removable hook and loop on the wall, allowing you to place myriad unique patterns on your walls.

4 lovely colors of flowers are available in sets of 5, 10 or 20 pieces. prices start at £38. see more and contact rachel on her website.

david sears furniture design

i am enjoying the eco-friendly collection of boston-based architect (and now furniture designer) david sears. his modular cube furniture collection is crafted from maple and high-end plywood, which is stronger and uses more of an actual tree than solid wood does. the compact and clean styles have attractive details, and would be well suited to small space living.

the art of emily wick

i like maps, and what fun style we have here from artist emily wick. this linocut series of state mottoes she’s created would definitely make for some fun gift giving. to myself.

this reminds me a little of those awesome neighborhood map posters from jenny beorkrem. except these are much, much different.

see more of emily’s work here, where you will find a lot of other wonderful lino prints and some paintings too.
