hurrah! this past weekend my ornament for the swap was released into the universe! i went around town and took photos of old neon signs and altered the colors digitally, to create a laminated two sided piece that spells out the sentiment of the season. when you hang it, it’s free to spin and spell the word out in assorted color combinations.

i’m pretty happy with the way they turned out - i just hope all my swappers like them!

ed. note: check out the ornament #3 that my dear friend received - fine minds in cyberspace!
it was with gleeful anticipation that i tore open the padded envelope this weekend to find the third ornament i received in the swap. is this the funniest thing you’ve ever seen or what? better look twice or else you might think it was storebought, like i did!

that’s right, it’s a plastic tree shaped like the air freshener kind you hang from your rear view mirror, but not in that nauseating artificial pine scent - it’s a special swap scent! i am stunned by the meticulous packaging that it came in and my swapper’s precise cutting skills too!
once again, i am soooo glad i am participating in this experience. my creation is seconds away from being completed, so stay tuned - i just hope it’s up to snuff!
thanks michael!

yippee! the second ornament from the swap arrived today, in a perfectly shrink-wrapped cardboard box. i opened it carefully to reveal a gorgeous card and an absolutely lovely bejeweled dangler, with a teeny little silver charm on the botttom that says “imagine.” (i covered up my swapper’s address on the box with snowflakes, for privacy’s sake.)

thank you so much brenda!
