it wouldn’t make more sense if it was a dude’s legs sticking out of this ceramic tea set from uk designer tina tsang, would it?

love that sugar bowl.
purchase the pieces separately at generate, and see more from tina right here.

you may remember the wonderfully tactile, inspired wall decor from uk designer rachel horrocks that i wrote about a while ago. rachel has continued to develop the concept of fun felty artwork with this new series called decoflora. still crafted from 100% wool felt like her basic baroque pieces, the decoflora series presents a more feminine style and attaches with a simple removable hook and loop on the wall, allowing you to place myriad unique patterns on your walls.

4 lovely colors of flowers are available in sets of 5, 10 or 20 pieces. prices start at £38. see more and contact rachel on her website.

you may remember the talents of glass artist ruth lyne from the last time i wrote about her. she’s been busy in the kiln and has added some new larger scale panels of glass which are just as serene and beautiful as her tabletop collection.

if you are lucky enough to be in london you can view her collection with the cohesion glass network at the affordable art fair in battersea park, from march 12-15, 2009. the rest of us non-travelers can admire her work on her website. ![]()
urban lamp by david raine

Oh how I love the juxtaposition of materials in this sculptural Urban lamp from UK artist David Raine for his company alkamie.biz. It has a wonderfully non-tippy base of concrete with perspex insert, and is topped with a stunning, shredded (and fire-resistant) silk shade.

David also offers his beautiful, organically-shaped lampshades separately.

To me this is like wearing a fancy sweater with a plain skirt — it’s special and very stylish without being too overdone.
Purchase the lamp and shades at the Hidden Art shop and see more from David on his website.

reader saraM pointed me in the direction of the gorgeous organic stylings of uk ceramicist claire palastanga. the delicate porcelain forms are finely finished, and enhanced with the contrasting addition of silver of gold leaf details. claire is inspired by nature and has long been fascinated by spikey forms with sensitive centers, such as the fruit from the horse chestnut tree.

see more of claire’s beautiful collection and contact her right here.
